Hello, my name is Faige Gabbai, and I’m supposed to get married very soon. The thing is, I’m not sure my wedding will happen at all.
I’m one of 5 children, and one of my younger siblings is seriously ill. My parents spend most of their time accompanying him to treatments or working long hours to pay for thousands of shekels in medical expenses. There is nothing left for me.
I love my brother deeply, but the reality is that with the planned wedding date only a month away, nothing is ready. Not for the wedding itself, not for life after. No way to find a small place to live and get started with the basics, like an oven or a fridge.
I’m working as hard as I can - but my earnings from an entry-level job and babysitting in the evening combined are barely a drop in the ocean. I can’t ask my parents for financial help. They want the best for me, but they have absolutely no money or even time to think about my upcoming wedding.
And so I’m on my own and turning to you - please, please help me get married and do the mitzvah of hachnasas kallah for a penniless young kallah who really is desperate. Please help me build a bayis ne’eman b’yisroel, and you should be blessed to have all of your tefilos answered.
Thank you from the depths of my heart,
Faige
