UPDATE: Shmuel’s wedding is in 1 week! I can’t believe it’s happening already, but we still have so much to do. We’re missing basics still - and we desperately need help to pull off the wedding in time. Please help my son and daughter-in-law get married with dignity!
Hello, my name is Rachel Gallagher
My husband Michael is a convert with a fascinating backstory. Originally from Ireland, he chose to leave his family and convert in 1991, moved to Israel in 1999, and together we raised a family of 7 children.
But being a convert comes with challenges. We have no family to rely on and we celebrate every occasion completely on our own.
Two of our sons are engaged, and their weddings are a month apart. My children are overjoyed at their brothers' weddings, but I’m terrified: we can’t afford to make two weddings, especially since we have to do it on our own.
My husband left his immediate family but joined the biggest warmest family in the world. You’re the only people we can turn to now, and I’m begging you: please help our children build their new homes!
Shimon’s wedding is in a few days on Sunday the 10th, and we’re running out of time. They’re missing basic wedding expenses, and every single cent will make a difference. We desperately need your help to pay for the costs of the wedding night, and set up a simple apartment, so they can get married with dignity.
May you be blessed in the Zechus of helping a convert and building a new home.
