Keep Our Soldiers Cool: Please keep my friends and me safe by installing AC into our unbearably hot tents!

Fund ID: 1341

UPDATE MON 02/09: There’s tension and heartbreak in Israel, and more soldiers are getting called up to leave their families behind and fight for our country. Please support my friends and me by giving us bearable living conditions! We urgently need sponsors to send out further shipments of air-conditioning units for overheated IDF tents.

I’m Ron,

I’m a Dad of 1 and an engineer, but now my identity is an IDF soldier with the green and the gun. I’ve been to places I can’t disclose, escaped multiple death threats, and watched friends fall before my eyes.

This war requires a superhuman amount of grit, but ironically, our biggest threat isn’t what you’d think. We’re fighting in full gear at 100 degrees Fahrenheit but can never escape the heat. Anyone who’s been in a tent in the heat will understand – the suffocating heat in our army tents is unbearable. My friends and I have had sleepless nights, leaving us significantly less alert in combat the next day.

Organization Shomrei Yisroel sparked a mission to install air-conditioning in every tent. However, funding is a significant obstacle and without help from the public, nothing can be purchased. Each unit costs $375 with full installation, including generators and extension cords, reaching $1,000.

Hundreds have joined the movement, and thousands more soldiers are dependent on the public to get critically needed rest.

Israel’s safety is at the top of all of our minds. As a soldier on the frontline, I can’t stress enough how critical it is to keep our army energized. For the safety of every soldier giving up his life to protect Israel, please give our soldiers relief from the unbearable heat!

Todah Rabba – Am Yisroel Chai!
