My father died 2 months before my wedding. We have nothing left. Please help me get married!

Hi, my name is Golda and I’m engaged. I also just got up from sitting shiva for father, R’ Moshe Hershkowitz z”l.

My father z”l had been sick for over 13 years, suffering from many medical complications. He had multiple surgeries, went for dialysis three times a week, and only a few weeks ago his leg was amputated.

We could no longer live in our home - Tatty couldn’t make it up the 4 flights of stairs on Shabbos - so we planned to move.

As the oldest girl out of 6 siblings still living at home, I masterminded the packing, even though I had so many wedding errands to run. Mommy was busy taking care of Tatty and I wanted to help as much as I could.

On moving day, everything was loaded onto the truck. I stood in the living room of our empty home and imagined the new owners moving in. Soon be’ezras Hashem I would be living in my own home, building my own family, with Mommy and Tatty there to guide me until my chuppah.

Then, the phone rang.

It was the dialysis center.

Tatty had collapsed. They were trying to resuscitate him.

We rushed as fast as we could to the center in Yerushalayim from our home in Beit Shemesh.

But, 40 minutes later, before we got there, Tatty slipped away.

Suddenly, I was an orphan. A kallah, and an orphan.

We just got up from shiva. There are less than 2 months to my wedding, and now Tatty is not here to take care of everything. After 13 years of suffering and medical bills and so many expenses - there is nothing left to pay for my wedding, for a home of my own with basic furnishings.

Please, if you can help me a poor kallah who is now also an orphan - I thank you from the depths of my heart.
