UPDATE 03/29: We are still in desperate need of financial help for Shalom’s kidney transplant. Every passing day brings us closer to an unbearable loss, and we are running out of time. Please, don’t let Shalom’s future be taken from him. Please.

Hi,

My name is Nechama Goldman and I am the mother of eight kids k’’h. We live in Bnei Brak.

Shalom, our precious, smiley little baby was born preterm with kidney failure. Shalom is at constant risk of dehydration, he barely sleeps from the pain he is in and often stops breathing altogether. It’s been a non-stop terrifying rollercoaster, but today we received a harrowing update– Shalom urgently needs a kidney transplant in the States to survive.

I don’t know how we will weather this storm of expenses, the flights, Shalom’s specialized formulas which cost over $100 a can, and accommodations on our own. My husband is a cheder Rebbi and I am Shalom’s full-time caretaker and we have always lived so simply. I am turning to you and begging- Please, please help us weather this storm of expenses and save our baby! Time is running out for him. You are his only hope left. Help us. Please.

Hashem should reward you with health, happiness and only brachos for all of your days. Thank you so much for saving Shalom’s life,

Nechama Goldman

Founded in 1992 under the leadership of Harav Hagaon Shlomo Zalmen Auerbach zt”l and Harav Hagaon Yosef Shalom Elyashiv zt”l, Vaad Harabanim L'Inyanei Tzedaka B'Eretz Hakodesh based on the following principles: Firstly, Klal Yisrael needs a reliable address for sending their tzedakah money. They should know that all their donations, down to the last cent, are managed faithfully and strictly according to Halachah. No less important is the second principle, that the needy must have somewhere to turn when a crisis strikes. Over three decades later, Vaad Harabanim continues to function with the guidance of the Gedolei Hador and in accordance with its founding principles.
