AN URGENT UPDATE FROM MRS. HELLER: Tears are streaming down my face as I write this. The doctors have just told me that they must operate NOW, but we still haven’t gathered enough funds to pay for Shimon’s treatments. I am so scared. I am writing to you in earnest, to implore you to help a family in need. This family is struggling to save their son Shimon who is living with a rare heart condition. He needs treatments in the United States that could save his life, but their resources are stretched thin and they are unable to cover the costs of traveling to and from America.
The parents are devoted to caring for Shimon and the other children, and they have put everything they can into getting him the treatments he needs. But their other children are suffering, and the family is in desperate need of basic necessities like food, clothing, and a home.
This is a difficult and heartbreaking situation, and it is our responsibility as a community to come together and help this family. I urge you to take action and help this family. The mitzvot of aiding the needy are countless, and Hashem will not withhold the reward for every act of kindness.

Hello, my name is Henya Heller. Our son Shimon lives with a rare heart disease. He is very fragile and needs a lot of care. As of recently there are treatments available in the United States that could save his life. We have put everything we can into traveling back and forth to America with him. My husband and I have had no way of bringing in more income, because we are busy every day with caring for Shimon and the other kids.
Shimon is responding to the treatments and this could truly save his life!!! But the traveling back and forth has taken everything we had and now our other children are suffering. We don’t know what to do. Shimon needs this treatment to live, but our other children need the basics like clothing, groceries, a home to live in.
We don’t know where else to turn. Please help us, to save Shimon and to give the rest of our children normal childhoods. And you should be blessed to never be in such a situation.
