My name is not important. What matters is that I am a mother of five children, living with my family in Meah Shearim — and today, we are facing an immediate eviction from our home.
My husband is a devoted avreich who works in the mornings as a melamed in a Talmud Torah and spends the rest of his day learning. He suffers from serious heart disease and is under constant medical care. He has been told clearly that he cannot take on more work.
I work as a teaching assistant and give everything I have to support our family and raise our children. But despite all our efforts, our income simply isn’t enough.
Over the past year, unexpected medical expenses, my husband’s declining health, and the rising cost of living have pushed us into debt we cannot escape.
Now we have reached the most frightening moment of all: If we cannot raise the required amount immediately, my children and I will be left without a home. I lie awake at night wondering where we will go, and how I will protect my children from this fear.
To stop the eviction, we urgently need ₪60,000.
