Hello, I’m Sarit,
My husband always said he wanted to make it into the news. But there’s no way he wanted to be part of this kind of news.
He’s one of the 800+ soldiers who were killed since October 7. They were killed in the prime of their lives, ripping apart hundreds of families in Israel and across the world.
I lived with a pit in my stomach whenever he went out to fight, and then my darkest fears came true when he was killed. He was my whole world, and now that he’s gone, my world is destroyed.
I have one little girl, and she’s my whole world now, but I can’t even buy her a new pair of shoes. I had to drastically cut back my work hours because my daughter needed me - leaving me with no way to get through the month.
84 women like me lost their husbands in battle and are now struggling financially. This fund will give them the means to pay for household essentials that they would be forced to forgo.
Please. We all desperately need your support. We need to know that people care about us.
If you feel for some of our pain, please consider contributing to the widow’s fund.
It hurts me to ask but we don’t have another option. Please help us move on after such a tragic, sudden loss.
Sincerely,
Sarit
