Fund ID: 1352

UPDATE: Malka has just received test results showing a terrifying decline in her health. Please pray for Chaya Malka Bas Golda Miriam for a Refuah Shlema! Malka is still in urgent need of funds to cover treatment costs, please keep this mother of 2 alive.

Hello, I'm Malka.

We’re one of the thousands of Israelis from Northern Israel who were forced to leave our homes. We’re in Jerusalem now and we’re all struggling in this unfamiliar city. My two kids Sara (7) and Yitzchak (2) miss their home, friends, and favorite playground.

It’s scary to watch my little 7-year-old talk matter-of-fact about moving away because of Hezbollah. I wish they wouldn’t have to be exposed to such things.

But the war is only a tiny part of our problems. I’ve been battling a serious illness in my bloodstream for the past 3 years.

I thought my illness was bad enough.
When we fled our homes, I thought our lives couldn’t get worse.
But I had no idea what was coming -

We’ve just run out of funds to pay for treatment. We lost our jobs when we left home, and we can’t afford to pay for my costly treatment anymore.

We’re a young couple, all alone in a foreign city, and we have no one to turn to. What am I meant to do? I keep thinking about my young children whose lives were torn apart by my illness and then the war. They are so unsettled and confused, lost in this big city far from home. They need a healthy mother!

I’m dependent on the kindness of strangers. Please help me pay for continued treatment, so I can fight this illness and make a complete recovery. Please don’t let me and my kids become another victim of this war.

Malka
