A personal request from the Pittsburgher Rebbe, Shlita: This Kallah was abandoned by her mother as a child, and she has nobody but you to help her.

Fund ID: 6601

A personal request From the Pittsburgher Rebbe, Shlita.

Leeba’s mother abandoned her at the age of 2, leaving her father shocked by the sudden disappearance and unable to care for her. The Shevkins, kindhearted neighbors, took her in and raised her as one of their own. When Leeba entered Shidduchim, her background limited her options, so the Shevkins promised to support her.
With money they don’t have.
B”H, Leeba is engaged and her wedding is in ONE MONTH!
If they don’t raise the money, the wedding will be called off.
She has nobody to help her start her new life.

In the Rebbe’s own words,
“This is a case I have been familiar with for years. The mother abandoned the family and left the daughter alone in the world. It’s very dangerous both in gashmiyus and ruchniyus.
To tell you the truth, she has no one, no askan, to help her. This is truly hatzalas nefashos mamash. You can be zoche to set her on her feet and she will be able to have doros yesharim. Therefore, we need to help to raise an enormous amount of money to start her off in life.

In the merit of our Avos, all those who participate in this effort, each one should see salvation from Hashem yisborach. They should see supernatural yeshuos, health, parnossah, and nachas, each one whatever he needs.”
-PITTSBURGHER REBBE SHLITA

They should know that all their donations, down to the last cent, are managed faithfully and strictly according to Halachah. No less important is the second principle, that the needy must have somewhere to turn when a crisis strikes. Over three decades later, Vaad Harabanim continues to function with the guidance of the Gedolei Hador and in accordance with its founding principles.
