Almost a month ago, when my husband told me he was being deployed again, I couldn’t hold back the tears.
Motty is a reserve soldier. Since October 2023, he’s been gone more than he’s been home — first in Gaza, now on the northern border with Lebanon.
My three children ask for their Abba every day.

I’m trying to clean, prepare, and hold everything together on my own — but I simply don’t have the means to buy new clothing for my children, or even the basic food we need for the Seder.
And every time the siren sounds, I grab all three kids and run — four flights down to the shelter — with less than two minutes to get there.
This is our reality.
The hardest part?
Knowing I’ll be sitting at the Seder alone… while my husband risks his life to protect Am Yisrael.
