The IDF recently launched ground operations in Lebanon after Hezbollah joined the war and began firing rockets toward Israel’s northern towns.
We are at the tail end of winter now, but even in Israel the nights are still bitterly cold - especially up North. Along Israel’s northern border with Lebanon, soldiers often sleep outside in the field — with only a thin army tent to protect them from the wind.
Shomrei Yisroel is now raising funds to purchase 100 powerful wireless heating units. Each unit can heat a standard 6-soldier tent, allowing soldiers to sleep and recover before returning to their missions. Each heating unit costs $2600 and can be charged at base before soldiers head out into the field. In addition, Shomrei Yisroel will distribute thermal clothing sets to help soldiers stay warm through the night. Each set costs $36.
These soldiers are protecting Israel’s northern communities through the night. The least we can do is make sure they are not freezing in their tents. 🙏
