‘Like every other Kalla, I was so looking forward to my wedding, even though it was going to be simple because we couldn’t afford much. But now that the war forced us to reschedule, I can’t bring myself to think about what our wedding will look like.

Together with her Chosson Efi, they’ve rescheduled it to be in a synagogue with just a Minyan present. When a neighbor heard he wondered – if they can’t afford a hall to host the wedding, what kind of apartment will they be going to?

Efi and Ila are one of the many couples who’ve had to flee for their lives and replan their wedding from scratch in an unfamiliar place. They struggled to pull together funds the first time around. Now they’re desperate.
The Vaad Harabonim are determined to help these somewhat forgotten displaced couples.

The war robbed these young men and women of too much. Why do they have to lose the precious chance to be blissful newlyweds too?
Without you, they won’t have a wedding to enjoy or even food for dinner the next day. Donate here to make sure their weddings don’t become yet another victim of this war!
