PIKUACH NEFESH: Tatty in Room 295 & Dudi in Room 308 (VIDEO MESSAGE OF RAV YITZCHAK KOLODETZKY SHLITA)

Fund ID: 5403

Acheinu kol Beis Yisroel!
I am turning to you on behalf of a talmid chacham and marbitz Torah, who is also my longtime friend.

His son Dudi’s life has been filled with suffering. One day in yeshivah collapsed. Hospital tests diagnosed him with the machala, turning a joyful family into one overshadowed by sickness and mounting medical bills.

Hospital stays aren't just about the illness. The family faced spiraling costs: from medicines and treatments, transport, food for attending family members, to hiring babysitters for the siblings left at home. On top of that, the family income suffered due to the constant care Dudi needed.

Now, my friend has also been diagnosed with life-threatening cancer. His situation is considered Pikuach Nefesh. The family has no money to pay for the medication and treatment of their father! The entire family is in danger of collapsing chas v’shalom! They're in dire straits, with no means to cover daily necessities or medical expenses.

As we embark on a new year, please donate $383 the number of days of the coming year 5784. A person who donates $383 middah k’neged middah will merit the blessing of the pasuk “I will remove all sickness from you.” Anyone who donates to help save my friend’s life should be blessed with health, parnassah, success, nachas and good shidduchim in the coming year.

Founded in 1992 under the leadership of Harav Hagaon Shlomo Zalmen Auerbach zt”l and Harav Hagaon Yosef Shalom Elyashiv zt”l, Vaad Harabanim L'Inyanei Tzedaka B'Eretz Hakodesh based on the following principles: Firstly, Klal Yisrael needs a reliable address for sending their tzedakah money. They should know that all their donations, down to the last cent, are managed faithfully and strictly according to Halachah. No less important is the second principle, that the needy must have somewhere to turn when a crisis strikes. Over three decades later, Vaad Harabanim continues to function with the guidance of the Gedolei Hador and in accordance with its founding principles.
