For many years, Rabbi and Rebbetzin Gottfarb have been the Ima & Abba of the Zichron Moshe neighborhood of Jerusalem. Day in and day out, needy families are at their doorstep. The Gottfarbs welcome them in and give them what they need, be it money, food, or someone to talk to.
This year, the Gottfarbs have been overwhelmed with requests for help. 80 families are in desperate need of food and clothing for Shabbat. Many of the neighborhood children only have ripped and stained clothing, and shoes that don’t fit. Each outfit costs $60, and each family has an average of 4 children in need.
Whether they are ready or not, Shabbat is coming. Please think of the children. They want to play outside, and they need proper shoes to do so. If you are blessed to have what you need for your family for Shabbat, you can make a huge difference in their lives.
